On December 4, a meeting-discussion took place at the office of the social NGO "Real World, Real People," focusing on the theme "Mechanisms for providing care services related to HIV infection for RA citizens in migration." The gathering saw the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Centers across the nation, the National Center for Infectious Diseases (NCID), National Pulmonology Center and medical professionals. Attendees included non-governmental organisations delivering services to migrants in both Armenia and host countries, a regional expert group addressing migration and health issues, and experts from international organisations and UN agencies. During the event, speakers covered various aspects, including the epidemiological situation in Armenia and the national healthcare system's response to HIV and AIDS. They also discussed legal and institutional hurdles in providing HIV care to both Armenian citizens and migrants. The focus extended to key challenges faced by Armenians residing abroad in relation to HIV, as well as existing best practices geared toward offering HIV care to citizens living outside Armenia. Enhancing access to HIV care for migrants in host countries was discussed as well. A panel discussion was initiated during the meeting, exploring the theme "Further steps for migrants to access medical services in the host country and upon return, including telediagnosis and treatment.
