On May 20, Eamonn Murphy, head of the regional office of the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS, met with Armenian civil community representatives at the UN office in Armenia. The meeting aimed to address issues raised by local NGOs and find ways to enhance the effectiveness and purposefulness of their work.

Murphy commended the efforts of the NGOs and acknowledged positive reforms in several key areas during the meeting.
