Training on “Specifics of Working with Tuberculosis Patients and Developing Counseling Skills”
As part of the continuous training series for TB clinic nurses, the final session was held on November 13, dedicated to the specifics of working with tuberculosis patients and strengthening counseling skills.
Nurses from the TB units of polyclinics in the Ararat and Armavir regions participated in the training.
Throughout the day, participants reinforced their knowledge of modern approaches to TB diagnosis and treatment, learned about the principles of patient-centered care, mechanisms for reducing stigma and discrimination, and practical methods for improving counseling and communication skills.
The training sessions were accredited by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, and nurses who successfully completed the course received six theoretical credits.
This initiative aims to strengthen the professional capacities of nurses working in TB clinics, contributing to the improvement of the quality of patient care and support.
The training series was implemented within the framework of the “Care and Support for People with TB” program.
